For years the World Economic Forum has undertaken an annual review of stakeholder perceptions of key societal risks. The implications of the loss of nature are considered increasingly severe. This report is the first in a series of three under the World Economic Forum’s New Nature Economy series.

It highlights the importance of nature to business, the implications of its loss and emphasises the importance of integrating the management of nature into risk management strategies.
