Globalbalance is delighted to be part of the Aligning Accounting Approaches for Nature (Align) project consortium.
Biodiversity is declining at unprecedented rates. In part, this is because the value of nature is not embedded within current economic thinking. Lack of broad agreement on biodiversity metrics and measurement for business limits the ability of businesses to measure and report.
The Align project aims to address this issue, supporting businesses across the EU and beyond with a suite of tools, indicators and principles for integrating natural capital thinking and biodiversity measurement; by providing recommendations for harmonizing decision making and external reporting.
The official launch of the Align project is on Wednesday, 10 March 2021, 5.00-6.00 pm CET.
